Transfer
If your file is too large to send through email, you can upload
your file using File Transfer Protocol. Please call us at 408 286-6340
so we may set up an account for you. Then you will be given a
User ID and Password to access our FTP site.
(You will need to use an FTP Access application such as Fetch
or WS FTP.)
If your files are too large or problematic, we will be happy to schedule a pick-up.
File Preparation For Sign Enlargements:
- Use current versions of software.
- In Quark, page size should be no smaller than 1/4 final size.
- Save Illustrator files as EPS.
- Scans should be at least 100 ppi at final printed size.
- Save scans as CMYK if possible.
File Formats:
- Adobe Acrobat document (*.pdf) (recommended)
- Adobe Illustrator artwork (*.ai) (recommended)
- Adobe Photoshop image (*.psd) (recommended)
- Bitmap image (*.bmp)
- JPEG image (*.jpg, *.jpeg)
- PostScript file (*.ps)
- Quark Xpress (*.qxd)
- InDesign (*.ind)
Resolution and Bleeds:
Your artwork should br created at 300 dpi - lower resolution will reduce the print quality. Be sure to add at least 1/8 inch of a bleed to your art beyond the finished size.
